# How to Create a MetaMask Wallet

## Creating a MetaMask account

You can create a MetaMask account and download the mobile application or browser extension from their official website here: <https://metamask.io/>. If you require assistance, here is a video guide that can help you:

During registration, you will be given a **12-word Secret Recovery Phrase (also called a Seed Phrase)** consisting of some randomly-generated words. You can write your Secret Recovery Phrase down on a piece of paper or a flash drive. Optionally, MetaMask allows you to download a file containing the phrase. Always keep your phrase safe and never share it with anyone.
